Introduction
New England College (NEC) is an accredited, private, non-profit college based in New Hampshire. For over 70 years, the college has worked to make higher education more accessible, helping thousands of students achieve their career goals. Today, NEC serves over 5,000 students and offers 60+ associate and bachelor’s programs, 20+ master’s programs, and a doctoral degree program.
Challenges
NEC needed to collect hundreds of time-sensitive signatures. According to David Rubin, the VP of Information Technology at NEC, “We’d email copies of a PDF that had to be signed by multiple parties, then they’d often need to be modified and re-signed. With hundreds of forms going through the signature process at any given time, it was hard to track progress, and time-consuming to get signatures.”
They needed a better solution. So, David began searching for a tool that could simplify the university’s signature process. That’s when he discovered BoldSign. “I was initially drawn to BoldSign because of the pricing,” David said. “Also, the full-feature trial account allowed us to build a proof-of-concept and show that BoldSign could meet all of our needs.”
Solution
David’s team centralized their e-signature requests with BoldSign, enabling them to track and receive status updates on documents in real-time. “It’s made things far more measurable and efficient. In our case, we need every personalized document to be signed by 3 people. These are done in batches of about 300 and have to be completed by a certain date,” David said. “After the CRM generates the PDF and sends it to BoldSign, webhooks communicate back with our CRM, updating the status of each document. Then, we have a Power BI dashboard that shows the current status of our documents, so we can see exactly how long each step of the process takes.”
And with BoldSign’s extensive online resources, the team’s transition was seamless. “We had a few questions during early implementation, but after that, the documentation provided all the answers we needed to complete our integration,” David said.
